Terms of Agreement
Rules & Regulations - Exhibit Information
| SET-UP &
SHOW HOURS |
Set-Up: Friday, August 8 … 8 AM to 4 PM
Show: Friday, August 8, 5 PM to 8 PM; Saturday,
August 9, 9 AM to 5 PM |
| ELIGIBILITY |
Exhibitor must use rental space only for the showing
and selling of antiques (at least 100 years old) or antique
collector items (at least 50 years old). No reproductions, new
merchandise or “limited edition” new collectibles will be sold
at this event. Exceptions will be books and catalogs directly
related to the Antiques/Collectibles trade, and polishes, finish
restorers and plate holders that relate to the restoration and
preservation of Antiques/Collectibles. This is a Juried Show
and any new items or inappropriate items must be removed. Any
disagreement will be decided by MHS. It is understood that MHS
reserves the right to request that the Exhibitor to remove from
his/her booth any item(s) which, in MHS’s opinion, is not considered
an “Antique” or “Collectible” as defined, or is not in keeping
with the image of this Show. MHS reserves the right to request
any Exhibitor to pack up and leave with a full refund or to
exclude any Exhibitor from exhibiting at future events if, in
its opinion, that Exhibitor’s display or merchandise does not
meet the standards of the Show. Exhibitors must provide customers
with detailed receipts that include the dealer’s name and contact
information. |
| EXHIBITOR
RESPONSIBILITIES |
Exhibitor shall be liable for delivery, handling,
setting up and removal of his/her own display and materials.
Porters will be available and work for tips delivering and removing
Exhibitor’s inventory into and out of the facility. An attendant
must be present in the booth during all hours of the Show and
will be expected to exhibit and sell merchandise as represented
in the Contract acceptance process. Spaces are not transferable
and cannot be partially or totally subleased. Exhibits must
remain intact until the scheduled conclusion of the Show. This
contract constitutes approval by the Exhibitor for any photograph
or video of booth items taken by MHS to be used exclusively
for promotional or advertising purposes or for any Exhibitor
listing (name, hometown, state and booth number) to be included
on MHS’s web site. It is the responsibility of the Exhibitor
to check tables and table legs before setting up his or her
display. |
| BOOTH SPECIFICATIONS |
MHS will endeavor to assign the same booth location
to Exhibitors returning on an annual basis but cannot guarantee
the same location. All tables shall be covered in an attractive
manner to the floor on all visible sides. No refund will be
given for ordered tables or electricity not used during the
Show. No boxes shall be visible. No signs, tags or stickers,
such as “Sale”
or “Discounts” shall be permitted. Materials subject to fire
hazards are not permitted. Items used to accessorize an Exhibitor’s
booth, i.e. dried flowers, etc., may not be sold. |
| TAXES, FACILITY POLICIES |
Each Exhibitor is responsible for collecting and
reporting State Sales Taxes. No alcoholic beverages of any type
are allowed in the Show or on the fairgrounds. There will be
no smoking in the Exhibit facility. |
| INSURANCE & LIABILITY |
Neither MHS nor the Fairgrounds will assume responsibility
for Exhibitor’s personal injury or property lost by theft, robbery,
accident, fire or damage. Exhibitor agrees not to be a party
to any action, suit, or claim against MHS or Fairgrounds. Should
MHS, in its sole discretion, consider it inadvisable to hold
the Show at the time and place herein provided, MHS may at its
option, terminate this agreement, return the sums paid by Exhibitor
and there shall be no further liability on the part of either
party to the other. |
| SECURITY |
No one is permitted in the building after closing
hours. Exhibitors may enter the facility one hour prior to Show
time. MHS shall provide a security guard to monitor the immediate
area during non-Show hours. |
| AMENDMENT & TERMINATION
OF CONTRACT |
MHS shall have the power to interpret and/or amend
these Rules & Regulations that, in its discretion, shall
be in the best interest of the Show. The decision of MHS must
be accepted as final in any dispute with Exhibitor or any situation
not covered by these Rules and Regulations. This agreement may
be terminated by MHS at any time on the breach of any conditions
by the Exhibitor, and thereupon all his/her rights hereunder
shall cease and terminate, and any payments made by him/her
in amount hereof prior to said termination shall be retained
by MHS as liquidated damages for such breach. |
| CANCELLATION
POLICY |
Exhibitor must notify MHS immediately of cancellation,
both verbally and in writing. No refunds will be given for any
reason. Payments are not transferable to another Show. Last
minute cancellations, vehicle breakdowns or other delays should
be reported to MHS, as soon as possible, by calling (570) 971-4869. |
