Archaeology Day 2008
Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008 – 9 AM-1 PM
Join us as we celebrate Pensylvania Archaeology Day 2008 at the Muncy Heritage Park and Nature Trail. Archaeology is a hands-on way to introduce individuals and families, including children, to history and the importance of preservation. Sponsored by the Muncy Historical Society.
Muncy Cup Golf Tournament
Saturday, June 14, 2008 – 8:30 AM
Shotgun start at the Vintage Course, White Deer Golf Course. Co-sponsored w/ Muncy Kiwanis Club. Featuring door prizes, men's and women's contests, net & gross tournament prizes; optional skins game.
Strawberry Festival
Saturday, June 7, 2008 – 2 to 6 PM
At the Muncy Historical Society, 40 North Main Street, Muncy, PA, in the gardens. Featuring one-room school memorabilia, picnic foods, strawberry shortcake & sundaes, & entertainment

Historic Home Tour & Quilt Show
Saturday, July 19, 2008– 10 AM to 4 PM
Homes and Garden Tour and Quilt Show
Tour quality historic properties and gardens and enjoy traditional and art quilts at this year’s special 2-1/2 day Quilt Show.

Muncy Historical Society’s fully restored one room school, located in Moreland Twp. Directions: From I-180. Exit 13B, Rte. 405 North. At signal light straight onto Rte. 442 east to Clarkstown. From Clarkstown, travel Rte. 442 east for 4.6 miles. Turn left onto SR2019. Travel .5 miles, park & ride at Moreland Baptist Church.

 

Invitational Art Exhibit
Fri., November 7, 6:30 PM – 9 PM
Sat., November 8, 11 AM – 4 PM
Mon. & Tues. Nov. 10-11, 5 – 6:30 PM
The annual Regional Invitational Art Show will feature a rich and varied collection of original work along with signed and numbered limited-edition reproductions. Friday night’s opening includes a reception and an opportunity to meet the artists.

Christmas Reading & Gift Shop
Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008 – 10 AM
At the Muncy Historical Society; for the children in all of us, featuring the ever-popular reading of Clement Clarke Moore’s holiday story.

If you can't attend, read the poem here.

Also, the society's Holiday Shop will be open and feature holiday gifts.
